SOOOO EXcited!!!!   Just booked my room at the convention center for Anime Iowa can't wait !!!!!     Been working on my Baa-chan outfit got my buttons and badge in for it and all material for the actual sewing which is going slow but will be done by July!!

Was invited to meet up with about six other over 21 girls for drinks while at AI it will be a blast this year.  :thumb46918567:


Plus my trip to New York in April has been booked very happy to be going as I've never been there planning on going to see many places.


Will be super busy as I just got back from Texas last week, going to New York in a month , going to Iowa in July and Minnesota three days after I get back from Iowa.   Phew I just know I will be exhausted after all is said and done. But I could care less as it will be well worth it!!  ::smile::

Woo hoo just got all my fabric and pattern needed to start on my Bak- chan costume. I am super excited to start this and can't wait to see how it turns out. Maybe if it turns out good I will enter it in the workmanship contest.  

I am hoping to have it finished before June so that if I want to start on another cosplay I can get it done before Anime Iowa.

I am bringing one friend but am a little weary of having her come cause she isn't too much into anime and has never been to a convention before.

Sighs... grumbling.... know I am going to kick myself in the ass for inviting her when I should have just went alone.....

I just have a feeling she will make fun of people and make a total ass of herself gah... i am so wishing something comes up and she can't make it.....   (is that bad?????)  I feel horrible thinking that but damn I just know how she is and that she can be a real B with an itch if you get what I mean.....

Any hoo no use thinking about it now when I have months yet to deal with it if I have too.

So I have decided to go as Kaede(Inuyasha) for Friday of AI and Saturday I am going as Bak Chan(DGray Man). I am making the costume for Bak Chan just got my new sewing machine yesterday sooo excited to try it out. Have to test it on some playing around pieces before working on my costume.

I was going to see about making the buttons for my Bak Chan but then saw how hard it is to replicate in clay for a mold. grrr so this year I will buy the buttons for the costume then maybe use them as a press for the mold I was attempting to make. (never realized how much work goes into silver work)     much to think on.


I haven't decided on if I will dress up on Sunday or just be comfy for the last day? I am going alone this year hoping to see some people I might know or make new friends!
